Quantum Physics v.s/& Liquid Modernity:

Even though I still can’t quite understand, I read Einstein’s theory of relativity again and again just for fun when I was a teenager;

Even though Einstein was completely wrong about how quantum mechanism works, I still it’s worth reviewing:

“As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain;

and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.”

Albert Einstein

Aren’t physicists lovely?

♠ Recording or Describe liquid, we need time, like snapshot. And Bauzam describes our society as ‘Liquid Modernity’

♠ And from so many experiments, it is proved that in quantum physics, the movement of quantum is not fixed or shaped when we are not looking at them. Therefore, our observing eyes make them stop moving and that’s a unique snapshot as well.

Before further explanation, I need to quote an angry ‘speech’ from a new film, seriously.

“You’re doing a play based on a book that was written 60 years ago, for a thousand rich, old white people whose only real concern is gonna be where they go to have their cake and coffee when it’s over. Nobody gives a shit but you. And let’s face it, Dad, it’s not for the sake of art. It’s because you just want to feel relevant again. Well, there’s a whole world out there where people fight to be relevant ever day. And you act like it doesn’t even exist! Things are happening in a place that you wilfully ignore, a place that has already forgotten you. I mean who are you? You hate bloggers. You make fun of twitter. You don’t even have a Facebook page. You’re the one who doesn’t exist. You’re doing this (his new play in a theatre) because you’re scared to death, like the rest of us, that you don’t matter. And you know what? You’re right. You don’t…You’re not important. Get used to it.”   — Birman (2014)

Well he didn’t get used to it, and he shot himself in the head. And his daughter is right, sounds pathetic but exactly right. It is called cyber culture and it’s all that matters now, to 99.9% human beings, I’m guessing the number.

“A thing is a thing. not what is said of that thing.”

A note on his dressing room mirror. Is that a denial to all the new things? or, no, a denial to all the old things with new meanings. Meaningless new signified. The cyberculture, the everchanging, the blase, his daughter is embracing. Am I also the one who don’t exist? Hmm….

Like I said at the beginning about the quantum, physicists asked a question like this: Does our universe exist if no one looks at it?”  And I’m wondering…Am I not existing if no one sees me, I mean they only see their mobiles now, don’t they?

However, the more I think about it, the more truth becomes vain.

Above all, the only common quantum and modernity has, and matters is: most people don’t bother to understand the things beneath the surface.

WTF is Quantum Modernity?

Utopia vs. Dytopia

“Interruption, incoherence, surprise are the ordinary conditions of our life. They have been become real needs for many people, whose minds are no longer fed…by anything but sudden changes and constantly renewed stimuli…We can no longer bear anything that lasts. We no longer know how to make boredom bear fruit.

So the whole question comes down to this: can the human mind master what the human mind has made?”

Terms and Conditions we may Apply

We don’t know what we agreed for, we don’t know what we gave ourselves away, or, we do know, and before really ugly things happen to us, we choose the ignorance. Because we have benefits for free.

Ex Mechina (2015)

I read the script, and don’t want to spoil the film. But it’s not the thriller genre scares me, it is how they made the AI’s brain: from Big Data, that governments and big organizations can get easily from the huge data we contributed on social media platform: if you really care about yourself, please watch the whole documentary above. And how can we beat AI, or ‘can we master the things we built’, Hmm, NO, FOR SURE. Because Artificial Intelligence have all your data, and you know nothing about them.

And you find ‘Brave New World’ is divorced from the reality? Well, the reality would been far more worse.

Now, let’s talk about only Google.

Two years ago, Germany was going to ban the Google Map, because of privacy issue. Well, that’s not the key problem. The thing is, do you remember the World Wide Web before Google? We are decentralised, independent researchers on the Internet, and now, we open Google, and type something, then click here and there….and give away our locations, date of births, interests, name of families and who do we hate.

Recap: we become dumber Internet users, who can’t live without Google, and voluntarily give every single interest we have (when we type the key words to search, from the start) to Google, who is supported by US Government, more specifically military department. And we think we are free citizens and have privacy at home. lol, I just love 1984!

Wait, why is China blocking Google and Gmail again? Isn’t that a brilliant plan? is it? or is it….Hmm….

Do you know that for the “two slice” experiments of light, the results are different, when there was monitor camera and there wasn’t. The light quantum must has minds as us, do not like being watched.

It’s not interesting any more!! I love quantum mechanism, although I don’t quite understand it completely. But we should be like those particles! They are our basics! And they are still lively and smart!

One thing is: for a pair of quantum, every time you see one of them’s actual status, the other one automatically appear to be the opposite. Remember this: you said something in a room, there always be someone raise their hands and disagree with you.

But I do find this quite often on Google, especially for the Google Scholar.

However, why do we offer every pair of mystery to one company? and we degenerated to the creators with functions simple as clicking and touching screen.

The universe is vase, the nature on earth is diversified, but our cyberculture is Googlized….

The secret murder

Gmail in the mainland got blocked, completely. The visitor that day from China is ZERO.

Then I got this link from a friend: http://wh.gov/iYFQQ . I guess the number means: to be  failed.

I don’t even know what to say: they don’t like society to be liquid? or they prefer to be a black whole in the universe?

Cyberculture is a subculture of the most socially used technology – digital technology. I can understand North Korea, they didn’t introduce cyber-anything to their citizen, and it’s so much easier to be a big brother. And in the west, everyone is contributing their information to Facebook, as a free labour, and to the government, voluntarily.

But have an inside Network?! With all those incomes of people buying computers, pay for the Internet, to use for cutting the Internet…

It’s killing me when something that seems divorced from logic….

Charlie

We know every objects name: this is a table, that is a car. But for the basic components — quanta, we don’t understand it, or no one can be sure we knows them.

Therefore, we don’t actually understand our world. But one thing for sure: for a pair of quantum, they can sense each others movement — if one of them is positive, we can sure the other one, even it’s on the Mars, is negative.

What’s that to do with Charlie Herbo? Well, it happened before. For the sarcasm of Muhammad, their magazine’s office got bombed. No matter how little percentage (o.000007% as they claimed) of the extremist in that religion, this pair of actions happens every once a while. I’m not judging, same consequences happen as in drunk driving and car accidents.

And this has something to do with modernity? Because Digital Modernity gives us that feeling!

The world is always like this, we just didn’t know. I have a friend who is from a beautiful countryside, grew up with no television, and doesn’t read newspaper. and most of the ’cause and result’ has no links in her head.

I was super sad about the huge lost of the great cartoonists. And talented artists from all over the world, they did their dedications:

Illustrators from all over the world

And again, that’s a no brainer. I mean, of course, famous people died, their colleges will offer their respects.

In so many ways, modernity makes people numb.
